Install (For Dolibarr v9+):

  • Go into menu Home - Setup - Modules - Deploy an external module and submit the zip file
  • Module or skin is then available and can be activated.

Install (For Dolibarr v8-):

  • Download the archive file of module (.zip file) from web site DoliStore.com
  • Put the file into the root directory of Dolibarr.
  • Uncompress the zip file, for example with command  unzip module_dropcontact-1.0.0.zip
  • Module or skin is then available and can be activated.

Features

This module allows the search for additional information for a contact. Dropcontact scours the web for information based on the contact's first and last name, the company name, and if available, the URL of the company's website. Thus, the Dropcontact API allows to enrich the contact data with the email address, phone number, and LinkedIn account. It will also allow to find the company's LinkedIn account if it exists.

To use this module, you must enter the API key available in your Dropcontact account.

Once active, in the module configuration, you can decide to enable the automation of this enrichment for Prospects, Customers, or Suppliers.

On the contact page, you will find a button to manually launch the enrichment.

The contact information - email, phone, LinkedIn - and the company information - website and LinkedIn - are updated in Dolibarr as long as they did not already exist. On the other hand, the private note of the contact will store all the contact information received from Dropcontact with the date on which the enrichment request was made.

Important Note

  • Dropcontact does not have any database, but scours the web for the requested information at the time the request is made. This makes this platform 100% compatible with the GDPR. However, requests may take a little time.
  • The data received is of better quality if the company's website is provided.
  • Be careful that in some cases the received data may be distorted (Companies with the same name, company poorly represented on the web, etc.). It is up to you to verify the received information.
