MBI Breadcrumb is a Dolibarr module that improves user navigation with a dynamic breadcrumb trail displayed directly in the interface. It stores recently visited pages, helps users jump back to records and lists quickly, and makes day-to-day browsing inside Dolibarr much smoother.

🔧 Installation

  1. Copy the module into /htdocs/custom/
  2. Go to Home > Setup > Modules/Applications
  3. Activate MBI Breadcrumb
  4. Configure the module options from its administration page if needed

v5.2 (15/07/2026)

  • Major fix: the breadcrumb was not recorded when the real page URL differs from Dolibarr's $dolibarr_main_url_root setting (different http/https scheme or host name, typically a hosting setup behind a reverse proxy / SSL terminator). Page detection is now based on the root-relative path, independent of scheme and host.
  • Robustness: an error while computing the menu color can no longer make the whole breadcrumb disappear.
  • Polish (pre-production audit): navigation URLs stored as root-relative paths (robust behind a reverse proxy / SSL terminator), removed a PHP 8 warning on query-less URLs, more robust multilingual label loading, and code cleanup (ModuleBuilder leftovers, invalid CSS properties, old internal name).

  • Fixed the breadcrumb color: when no menu color is defined, it now follows the default color of the active theme (e.g. the purple of the "md" theme) instead of falling back to the eldy blue.
  • The per-user personalized menu color is now applied (display personalization option).
  • Colors stored in hexadecimal or RGB format are both supported.
